Venice Biennale Contribution
I am deeply honored and humbly thrilled to share that I am presenting artwork at the 61st Venice Biennale/La Biennale di Venezia 2026 through @dennistonhill.
This year’s Biennale, titled In Minor Keys and curated by the late Koyo Kouoh, brings together over 100 artists as well as six international artist-led organizations. Koyo chose Denniston Hill to be one of them! The exhibition runs from May 9 to November 22, 2026 in Venice, Italy.
Denniston Hill’s contribution, titled Chimera, features a large-scale, multi-disciplinary installation, which brings together works by 153 of Denniston Hill’s alumni and collaborators in a group portrait.
My contribution to this installation is a sculptural narrative, written in paper, wood, stone, feathers and artifacts.

Koyo Kouoh explained the theme In Minor Keys (in part) as follows:
“The minor keys are also the small islands, worlds amid oceans with distinct and endlessly rich ecosystems, social lives that are articulated, for better and worse, within much larger political forms and ecological stakes. Here, the evocation of the key and the island extends to an archipelago of oases: gardens, courtyards, compounds, lofts, dance floors — the other worlds that artists make, the intimate and convivial universes that refresh and sustain even in terrible times; indeed, especially in terrible times.”
